Daily Itinerary

Day 1
Arrive at Santo Airport and make your way to your mini-bus outside. A 10-minute drive will see you arriving at the ferry terminal where you’ll board the ferry for a 15-minute ride to your tropical destination, Aore Island Resort! Here you will spend 7 incredible nights exploring the stunning Pacific Island retreat and experiencing their warm local hospitality. Settle into your delightful bungalow this evening, kick your feet up and get ready for the island adventure ahead.

Days 2 to 7
Aore is a treasure trove of interesting activities waiting to be discovered. It will be hard to choose your daily activities! Here’s just a sample of what you and the kids could get up to over the next week….

  • Enjoy a morning paddleboard up the coast, see beautiful fish and coral as you cruise by.

  • Take a single or tandem kayak out for a ride.

  • Snorkel the crystal-clear waters at the resort and spot colourful tropical fish.

  • Grab one of the free available fat wheel pushbikes for hire and take a tour of the island, you might even want to grab a picnic lunch and head to a beach.

  • Take a nature walk with one of the local staff members into the jungle, learn how to drink water from the vines, see one of the biggest Bayan Tree’s on the island, taste fresh cacao, see wild coffee growing, go inside old WWII American Bunkers and lots more.

  • Join a coffee tour and learn how the locals produce coffee.

Days 2 to 7 continued…
After a few days exploring your oasis retreat, if you are itching to get out and see more of Vanuatu and enjoy the sites and tours of the mainland you can easily jump on the ferry. Ferries run on a schedule and there are 5 return trips a day. These times coincide with dive operators and tours. There are many wonderful tours on the mainland – from horse-riding through pristine waters to taking historic tours of WWII relics to visit Champagne Beach and swimming in some of the purest, most stunning blue holes in the world.

Apart from all of the spectacular island activities on offer, no tropical getaway would be complete without delicious food, cold drinks and cultural music and dance. You will be immersed in the island charm at Aore’s regular ‘Island Nights’ with a range of local foods on offer while traditional musicians and dancers treat you to a memorable cultural experience. You can even book a ‘chefs table dining experience’ to enjoy an indulgent meal under the stars on their jetty.

Day 8
After 7 tropical nights at Aore Island Resort, as you check out of your bungalow this morning your “Santo Untouched Paradise” Quest comes to an end. “Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.” Dr Seuss.
